Believe in yourself

You have managed to get your business up and running, which must have seemed like a huge mountain to climb when you first started. Remind yourself of that every time that you talk yourself out of trying something new, or stepping outside of your comfort zone. 

Grow your team

You might have reached a stage in your business where you can do no more. You are working flat out and there is simply no way to expand further as you have no more hours to give. If this is the case, then maybe this is the right time to look into growing your team. 

You will need to think about the role that you need to recruit for and work out exactly what that team member needs to bring to your business. You will want to hire the right person, someone with the abilities that you require, but more than that, someone that you can see yourself working alongside.

As soon as you have employed someone, set about training them effectively so that they can fulfil their role and you can be confident in their abilities to do so. Make an effort to get to know them whilst you train together as you will be working closely with them so it helps to build a connection.

As you would when you are buying things for your home and your personal life, take the time to shop around for the best deals for your business. This should allow you to improve your service, whilst still keeping your costs down.

This might be the year that you need to move to new promises in order to continue to improve and meet customer demand. 

You might have started your business from home, and you are now finding that the operation is taking over half of your house. Renting a small office or hiring some storage space might be the solution.

You might be growing in terms of your team or your production levels and need a larger space. Perhaps the location is the problem, rather than size, and you feel it would be worth moving to pick up more footfall or to situate yourself in the right area.
