Putting Your Business Ideas In The Best Light

April 6, 2020

We all have ideas for potential businesses throughout our lifetimes. We all want to make something of these ideas, and get our potential new brand names out there. It’s important to put time and focus into these ideas, and to make sure they can develop into something more! And that’s why you need to focus on perspective.

You have plenty of ideas for your business, and you’re confident they’re good enough to present to others. Maybe you’re looking for just a bit of constructive feedback from friends or family, or maybe you’re trying to get an investor on side. Either way, it’s time to put your business ideas in the best light, and ensure your message really gets across.

It’s Important to Tell a Story

There are many ways you can tell a story with a business idea. You’ll need to tell a story about your business idea; where did you come from, what do you mean to do, what did you learn along the way, etc. Someone can get invested very easily in a heartfelt narrative.

But at the same time, you could use examples from someone you used for a focus group, to tell a story about how relevant your product is to the modern market – use their testimonial to guide an entire narrative, but don’t make it too long!

But Make it Easy to Follow

Once you’ve got a story in mind, it’s time to make it easy to understand and keep up with. You don’t want a long winded and unnecessary bit of content to post on your social media – who would pay attention to it, or be mindful of reading the whole way through? No, instead, you need to use something that combines the visual and audio; you need to use something like a video.

Don’t worry, videos don’t have to be expensive to make, and they don’t have to have a lot of production involved. They can be used to explain a concept far more simply than you ever could with a few pictures and some words! For example, a custom animated explainer video for your website, or to be pinned at the top of a social media page, could go far for ensuring something catches a person’s eye, and helps them sit the whole way through.

And Keep the Floor Open

Always keep the floor open when it comes to putting your business ideas in the best light – you want people to feel like they can interject for clarification, or to feel included with a comment or two throughout your presentation. It’s much more immersive, and even a little intimate, and that’s key for standing out in an audience’s mind. You’re different, and good at being so, and you’ll be the pick of the day.

Your business ideas could have a lot of light shone on them, but you need to use this light carefully along the way. Make sure you’re creative in your approach, with something to say.
