Creating The World’s Coolest Office

January 26, 2017

Psssh, who says an office has to be traditional, or any way, for that matter? If you’re a forward thinking company, then you need to be able to back it up with funky premises that tell the world exactly what you’re all about. When it comes to developing where you’ll be building your epic company, think outside the box: we promise it’ll inspire to big things.

Decoration

We’ve all been in offices that have grey walls, grey tables, dark chairs, and not much by the way of color. They’re functional and maybe productive…but you know nothing world changing will be happening in those places. You want your entire work environment to be inspiring, and that begins with what’s on the walls! Get the Office Removals team in, take out the furniture, and throw some paint around and get the walls as bright as your future! Adding other fun decoration features, like off the wall lights and doors, will also make your offices the coolest in town.

Meeting Spaces

People will be coming together to do great things for your company. Where would you rather they work: a traditional meeting room, or a space where ideas flow like water? It’s a no brainer. This one is open to interpretation, but some offices – like the BBC’s – have incorporated ‘collaboration pods’ into their spaces. These are bright, cosy, and inspire people to work together in a relaxed way – everything you need to get the big ideas running.

Learning to Relax

Your employees will be working very hard to make your company a success, the least you can do is make sure they’re well rested. Startup culture is filled with office relaxation sections, which can include sleeping pods, massage rooms, and jacuzzis. Of course, your office doesn’t have to have this level of indulgence; a few super comfortable chairs well placed in a work-free environment is all you need to get your employees feeling relaxed at work. Ask your employees what they would most like and get them installed!

Inspiring Creativity

We all have different things that inspire us, and you can’t account for all of them, but you can create a space that lends itself to creativity. If you have the option, creating an outdoor decking space with views of your surrounding can be all it takes to jolt a person’s creative juices into overdrive. You won’t be able to match the inspiration that can be achieved from say, a cabin overlooking a beautiful natural view; it’s about adding touches of creativity throughout your office.

And For Fun

You want your employees to actually want to be in work, and that means you’ll have to make it somewhat fun. Again, startup culture is filled with fun ideas for the office, but it needn’t be so intense. Add a table tennis or pool table, for instance, can be the relaxing break workers need during the day. If you want to aim big, go for the bar – it’ll inspire your workers to stay after they’ve clocked off and you never what might come from a few happy hour drinks!
