Great Ways To Inspire Productivity

May 16, 2019

As a business owner, the most important thing you will ever do for yourself and your brand is to look after your employees. When you are in the helm of a business you will often have a team of people who work for you and are dedicated to your cause, and this is something which can be great for you and your success. As an employer, it is crucial for you to give back and inspire a positive working attitude in the office, and today we are going to take a look at how to do it.

Use incentives

One of the first things you can do to make your employees feel happier and motivate them to work is to use an incentive. This could be a cash reward for a target they manage to hit, or it could be a prize which they win if they perform the best out of the team within a certain time frame. For example, you could use TokensFor to give out tokens every time a task is completed to each employee, and whoever has the most tokens at the end of the week gets lunch for free on a Friday. There are many ways you can do this to motivate your workers and it is worth looking in every direction.

Go out for lunch

Speaking of lunch, this can actually be a great way for you all to avoid afternoon lag and get back into the swing of things. If you all have a Friday free, head out for your lunches together to a pub or restaurant and just chat and catch up for a while. It will allow you to bond as a team, relax, and by the time you all get back to the office, everyone will feel refreshed and more motivated.

Have a tournament

If you have a spare room in the office which isn’t being used, it could be a good idea to place a pool table or a PS4 in there with a racing game or Fifa. A tournament between your employees can be a super fun way for them to bond together during lunch breaks and it is a wonderful opportunity for you to let go and also instill some competitiveness between your workers.

Ask for opinions

It is so important as a manager that you don’t simply step over everyone else in the office without a second word. A manager is a leader and to lead you need to show off a good example of how to work. Make sure that when you want to make a decision that you ask the opinion of people on the office. People like to be valued and small acts like this can make them feel more useful in the office and more motivated to work hard for you. It can be a simple decision like the color of the wall in your office or something more complex like the answer to a project or issue. Creating a bond between workers in this way is great for you.
