When was the last time that you took the time to make some changes in your life? We rarely spend enough time on ourselves and we can get stuck in a rut. Which is why today we are giving you a few starting points as we share 3 positive changes to make for you today.
Grab a notebook and get scribbling
Take the time to think through your current career situation. Some of us do not do this regularly as we are often too busy to really look up.
Spend some time thinking about everything that you would like to do, or maybe it would be easier to think about how you would like your life to look. Think about what you think would satisfy you to be doing on a daily basis.
You might come to realise that what you are doing suits you perfectly. If so, take the time to relish and savour it.
You might come to realise that you would like to make a move within your current company or industry. If that is the case, then polish off that CV and make plans to make that happen.
You might discover that a complete change is in order, and that is okay, don’t shy away from it.
Whether you want to be an exhibition stand builder and help people to make real design statements or you want to be a writer sharing your stories and weaving magical stories with your words, a goal is a personal thing. You might not even know what it is that you want to do, you just come out of this process knowing that you want something different and that can be all that you need to start making changes.
Take up something new
The exciting thing about ‘something new’ is that you really do not know what it might hold for you. Are you about to discover a new passion in life? Are you about to make a wonderful group of friends? Are you about to try something that could actually become your career one day? Are you simply going to enjoy doing it for an hour or two each week? So many possibilities.
It really does not matter what you choose to go for here, it could be anything from following a YouTube craft tutorial to a new sport to an entire degree course, the point is that you are taking up something new, just for you.
You are devoting time to yourself, to learn something new. Choose something and try it today.
Connect with people
We all need contact and connections in life. Some of us need more than others, some of us prefer loud to quiet and some of us prefer new to old. It really does not matter which category you fall into for this one as the point is simply to connect.
You might get round to inviting your sister and her family over for dinner or you might arrange a big night out with friends. You might reach out to a friend that you haven’t seen in months or you might book in a date night with your partner. You might join a new group or you might start up a book club.
