3 Ways To Keep Your Business Licenses Active

September 19, 2018

In business, there’s a lot of different requirements that you may need to meet. Especially if you're working in a particular trade or industry, it’s likely that you’re going to need set licenses and permits to operate. And keeping them active is a key part to running your business. To avoid letting your licenses and permits run out, here’s what you can do.

  1. Have A Killer Reminder System

The first and most obvious solution here is to have a system in place. We all have a million and one things to remember as business owners. So reminders are so important. If you have a calendar or diary system that can notify you, this is the best place to start.

  1. Hire Someone For The Job

Or maybe you really don’t want to have to deal with things yourself? That’s okay – and very normal. Sometimes you just have too much on your plate to be able to do it yourself. So why not hire someone to look after your paperwork, licenses, and other administrative duties for you. Then, you know that everything is always kept on top of, but you don’t have to worry about it.

  1. Memorize The Date

Lastly, if you know that licenses tend to expire at the same times each year, then keep this in mind. As you can see from the infographic below, trade licenses expire in either June or December. So knowing that is going to help you to keep things active, and to keep your business running legally.
