6 Tricks To Increase Traffic On Your Blog

November 17, 2017

One thing that most people don’t realise before starting their own blog is that it can take an incredibly long time to get a decent number of views on your posts. It’s a harsh reality, but it’s one that you’re going to have to work through if you want a successful blog. Luckily, there are plenty of things that you can do to increase traffic on your blog a little quicker, and here they are:
Bug Your Loved Ones
It's likely that some of the first people to start reading your blog on a regular basis are going to be your family and friends. For this reason, it’s not going to do you any harm to remind them to have a read every time you publish a new post. Better still, encourage them to sign up for reminders for your blog posts. It’s much more beneficial to have a handful of readers that care about you and will read every post, rather than thousands that have a look every few months.
Use Social media
Social media is a great tool, especially for advertising your blog. Be sure that you tweet or write a status with a link every time you upload a new post so that all of your friends and followers can check it out. This is perfect for connecting with people that you might not see every day.
Use SEO
Using a local SEO agency is a great way to increase the traffic on your blog. They will help your blog to be more visible on search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing, and make your blog appear higher on each of the search engine’s results, making it more likely for searchers to click on your blog.
Categorize Your Posts
An organized blog is going to get more traffic than an organized one, as it’s easier to navigate; Therefore it’s always beneficial to categorize your posts. You should also add tags to your posts, which will help people find our blog if they’re looking for posts related to a specific tag.
Comment On Other Blogs
A great way to gain more visitors is to read and comment on other people’s blogs. These people are then likely to visit your blog and comment in return. If they like your content, they may even become a regular reader. This will also announce your blog’s presence to all of the readers of the other blog, so they may come and check yours out too.
Update Regularly
Blogs that update frequently and have a known upload schedule tend to gain followers a lot quicker than those that don’t upload very often. This means that, even if you’re struggling to come up with blog ideas, or are busy, you need to try to upload when you’re supposed to, or you could risk losing followers.
Running a blog may seem easy to a lot of people, but it isn’t, especially when it comes to gaining a large following. Despite this, these trick should be able to help you with yours.
