Easy Ways to Boost Your Website Conversion Rate

June 29, 2018

If you have a site but you just don’t seem to be converting very well then there could be a couple of reasons behind this. You may find that your site just isn’t as professional as it should be or you may even find that you just aren’t utilising the right strategies. Either way, correcting the issue isn’t hard when you are aware of what influences your conversion rate.
Fields
Websites often come with forms. This is especially the case if you operate a service. When you do have something like this, you have to make sure that you use as few fields as possible. Some studies even show that every field you have can decrease your conversion rate by 11% and this is a shocking number to say the least. For this reason, you should always stick to the basics. Ask your customer to provide you with their email, name and message- nothing more. Your conversion rate will skyrocket, and it could be a deal-breaker for your site.
Add a Guarantee
It helps to have a guarantee on your site at all times. This helps you to reduce your own level of risk and it also helps you to boost your sales as well. This will easily make up for any returns that you need to take care of. If your customers don’t think that they can return their product back to you if there is something wrong with it then this can cause them to buy from someone else and this is the last thing you need. When you offer a guarantee, try and offer it for a minimum of 30 days. If there is a problem your customers will most likely return the product in less than a week, but the extra time will give them a lot of reassurance.
Action Verbs
If you are looking into online storefront solutions then you need to be powerful with the language that you use. You will want to use words or even phrases that encourage your customers to buy from you. You will also want to motivate them as well. If you are too passive in your language then your conversion rate will suffer and it will also make it much harder for you to really show them your benefits.
Headlines
Your headline is quite possibly the most important element that you will have on your page. Don’t come up with a headline in the first 30 minutes of brainstorming and don’t just try and spin a headline from a competitor. Instead, really take the time to come up with a headline that reflects you and the company that you run. You’ll want something that is personal to you as well, as this can really help you to get the sales that you need.
Utilise Video
Customers don’t often want to sit there and read through pages and pages of text. They want to find out all of the information they need to know quickly and easily, and one of the best ways for you to do this would be for you to offer the same information through video.
