How To 10X Your Future

March 25, 2019

As much as we should all be trying to live in the now, it’s really hard to not think about the future. About where we’re going and want we want. About the dreams we have. About where we want to be. And when you’re really not in the ideal position right now, you are going to find that it’s much harder for you to just live in the now. Maybe you’re constantly worrying about what the future will look like? Maybe you’re contemplating what you want to do with your life? Maybe you’re constantly contemplating whether you’re on the right track or getting worked up about all of the things that you do not have? If this is the case, then we have a problem. Because you’re going to struggle to make change when you’re in this state. Instead, you need to work out what you can do NOW, to make sure that you get the future you want.
If you’ve heard of the 10X method or even just the idea of ‘X’ing your life or an area of it, then you’ll  know what this means. If not, it’s a way of making sure that you’re increasing or growing (getting results in business, perhaps), or getting to where you want to be in life. To do it, you need to be making changes today, for them to take effect over time and into the future. Let’s take a look at how you can do this to make sure you get the future you want.
Know Where You're Going
To start with, you need to know what that future looks like. If you’re unsure and you’re second guessing yourself all of the time, you won’t get there – because there is no defined there. So first, you need a clear vision of what you want to achieve.
Get A Clearer Strategy
Whether we’re talking about starting a business, building the business you already have, or starting a new career from scratch, it’s so important for you to have a strategy and know where you’re going. For this, it could be something as simple as writing out notes and goals and a bit of a life plan. Or, it may be working with someone such as Vine Digital in business. Either way, you need to get clearer on how you’re strategically going to 10X.
Hold Yourself Accountable
The most important thing that you can realize here, is that only you can make this happen. So you need to find someway to hold yourself accountable for this. Think about how you can ensure that you WILL put the work in, show up, and stay consistent.
Gain More Exposure
Now, when you know that you want to change careers, or you’re a newbie and you have no exposure at all right now, you may need to work for free. Some say you shouldn’t but as you can see from Money Crashers, volunteering your time can be very rewarding. So let go of your ego, pay your dues, build your experience and exposure, and it will all pay off for you.
Serve Others
As much as you may think that this is all about you, if you’re too selfish or materialistic here, it my not work. Instead, you need to make sure that you are serving others in the process. When you can serve others and put their needs above your own, success will follow.
Align Your Actions
But above all else, you have to ensure that you are absolutely aligning your actions with your goals. You cannot say that you want this or that in the future, and then think and act in a way that will keep you in your present. You have to make huge changes to your life. It’s not enough to just find your passion and hope for the best. You have to make sure that you mirror your thoughts and actions to the future, so that you can start bringing it to your life today.
Check In With Yourself
Finally, you then absolutely need to make sure that you are able to check in with yourself as much as you can on this. Remember, all of this for you. Nobody else – just you. Nobody cares if you commit to this or the changes you want to make. This is all for you. So YOU need to be the one that stays consistent, that puts the work in, and that checks in regularly to see if you’re on track. When you do, and you’re getting closer to your goals, you’ll already be 10Xing!
