How To Get To Where You Want To Be

October 1, 2018

Everyone hopes to have that moment where they wake up one day and realise who they want to be when they grow up, and for some, this can happen a lot sooner than for others, but there should never be a time limit, because it's never too late. The most important thing is to do whatever makes you happy, as there is no greater feeling than waking up in the morning to go to work, with a smile on your face.
If you aren't fortunate enough to yet have this eureka moment – that's okay too. For some, it doesn't happen at all, and it's down to your own trial and error process of going through various businesses and industries until you stumble upon one that genuinely excites you. So never let anyone tell you to only choose one career path – you can have as many as you like as long as you're able to juggle them all.
Here are a couple of examples that can help you.
Learn how to pause your inner voice
There is a big difference between pausing and deleting all together, and while there are times where your inner voice may be so loud that you want it gone forever – it also has its odd benefits too. Essentially the inner voice is what we all have inside our minds, and more often than not you will hear it come up with tones of “what-ifs” or “not good enoughs”. They say that you are your own worst enemy, and this can be true for so many, especially when they struggle with doubting themselves a lot. Everyone will have experienced this, and while it's completely normal, there is no reason you should let it control your career and opportunities. Having said that, sometimes it can highlight a decent point that you may not have thought about – this is why you put pause instead, as it silences the voice, but allows you the chance to override it or not. Is it too much of a risk? Or are you just too nervous?
Embrace the service of technology
As we all know, technology is only getting more advanced with time, and the features and services that are available to us now are overflowing. So for example, if you've always had an appreciation for buildings and structures, and believe yourself to have a special eye in architecture, then why not follow this path and become an architect? Of course, this isn't a small dream to accomplish in passing, but there is so much new technology that is available to you out there that will help you along the way – this being an interesting site – there is no reason you should have any more doubts. So have a look at what is around you, and use anything that you know will aid you – this is how the world works now. We need information or help – we type it into the search engine and see what's offered. So embrace the tech that we have, and always use it to your advantage when you see fit.
