How To Showcase Yourself As An Established Startup

December 11, 2017

Some will say that when you first start out in business, you have to earn your stripes. And while that is certainly the case in terms of how you grow and develop over time, it doesn’t mean that you can’t start off a success. It’s a myth that your business should seem like a startup when you first startup. Although it may sound like a huge juxtaposition (because technically it is), you can be an established startup in your own right. You just need to focus your attention on the right areas. So although you’re happy to invest time in being more productive and generating sales, you should also make sure you invest time, energy, and money in looking professional. So let’s take a look at exactly how you can do that.
Nail Your Branding
Point number one – work on your branding. It’s easy to just set up shop and start working away. But if you really want to look like a strong and successful business from the start, you need to make sure that you nail your branding. Not only will this allow you to look professional and not so much as the notice you are, but it will help to bring your business together too. Branding can often set the tone of your business, which you may need to keep your motivated.
Get Verified
Another great idea is to try and verify your social media. So, this is not always going to be important to everybody, but it can help to give you some credibility. When you see those little blue ticks on places like Twitter and Instagram, they let users know that the account is verified by each platform as being someone notable. At the same time, you could also look into different accreditations for your company, especially if you’re not relying so much on social support.
Fake It For Now
From here, you’re also going to want to try and get yourself setup in a way that makes you seem bigger than you are. Basically, you’re going to want to fake it – but just for now. You need to get yourself a phone number, from somewhere such as Planet Numbers, so that you have more established contact details. You can also do the same with your address, in the form of a virtual office too.
Be Seen
Another great idea for you, is to ensure that you can get out and about. It’s always good for business to be seen at events. By doing so, you’ll get your name out there. People will get used to seeing you, and your name will soon be up there with some of the more notable businesses too.
Whatever You Do, Do It With Authority
Above all else, you’re going to want to make sure that everything you do, and every action you take going forwards is going to be done with authority. From your online tone of voice to the kind of blog posts that you publish, by having confidence, you’ll be able to establish yourself as an expert, no matter how long you’ve been in business.
