Spin A Web That Lures Customers To Your Site With These Tips

July 12, 2017

Like the word ‘startup,’ the term ‘website’ is a buzzword on everyone’s lips these days. You see, businesses and entrepreneurs alike want to know how to take advantage. They see an opportunity, and like a shark smelling blood, they move in for the kill. Sounds like a hole in one, right? Well, it isn’t because the industry moves the pin every single year. Without fail, the tactics that worked one year are nowhere near as effective the next. So, what does a person have to do to maintain a solid stream of traffic to a website? Quite simply, they have to evolve with the times. If this seems like something you want to do, here are the traffic trends to follow in 2017.
Invest In Design
A lot of readers will think ‘hang on a minute, there is nothing new about web design!’ And, to the savvy people that believe that, it is true. However, what is also true is the fact that people created their own sites for a very long time. Thanks to the WordPress (a sentence you don’t see too often), wannabe entrepreneurs took matters into their hands instead of hiring a professional. In 2017, more and more people are beginning to realise the importance of a website design and branding studio. Let’s face it – they have all the resources, more time, and skill and experience. Why would anyone ever think they could do better?
Video Content Is King
Once upon a time, the king of content was the written word. Oh, how the traditionalists rejoiced at the fact that some things stayed the same. Then, 2017 came out of nowhere and turned that on its head. Whether rightly or wrongly, there is no doubt that video is the new king as customers are too busy. They don’t want to read reams of text as they would rather watch a short video that provides the essential info. Anyway, videos are more interactive and fun, plus they integrate with social media. Every heard of YouTube, anyone? Without video content, there is no way to compete in a market full of cutthroat rivals.
SEO Adjustments
Again, bonus points for those of you who know that search engine optimisation isn’t brand new. However, what you may not have known is that SEO is like a living organism. Every year, it evolves and transforms into something different. As a result and you have Google to thank for this, the effective features are not the same as before. Indeed, 2017 is a particularly tumultuous year because of the recent Fred update which is turning the SEO world upside down. Those of you that are not familiar are sadly losing out as the changes are quite huge and affect everyone.  Of course, you can adjust, but you have to know how to react. If you don’t, your site’s ranking will plummet and hit rock bottom.
Now that you are up to date with current trends, you can use them to tweak your site.
