The Only Stuff You Need to Know About Making Sales

March 9, 2018

If you want to make money as an entrepreneur, whether your business is in writing novels, selling tech or creating art, there is one thing that you need to be able to do well – make sales! After all, if you don’t sell anything, you won’t be in business for very long, and it’s not just your products and services you sell tiger – it’s yourself, your, brand, your capability. Put simply, if you run a business, you’re always selling, and you need to do it well.
Luckily, the process of making sales doesn’t have to be hard, if you know the following stuff:
Everything You Do is a Sales Pitch
As I alluded to above, everything you do in business is a sales pitch. If you know this, then you will conduct yourself in a proper manner from the first time you have contact with a customer and client until the sale of the fireplace is made and after. If you don’t grasp this, then you’ll turn on the charm only when the opportunity to make a sale arises and you’ll be less successful as a result – people can see through that! Selling is a long process, and you need to be totally in the game 100 percent of the time like an Olympic athlete who never stops training.
Quality (Eventually) Products Sell Themselves
If your novels have more exciting plots with more twists and turns than the competitions, they will sell more than your rivals, and they will do so without the need for nearly as much marketing, or if your  loft hatches are safer and better constructed than 99 percent of the others on the market, people will buy loft hatches from you over the competition. Of course, you need to gain your reputation for quality before this can happen, so don’t think that you don’t need to market yourself, but focus on creating quality products and services, getting those initial great reviews and then as long as you maintain your standards, selling will be easy.
Sales are Often Made Emotionally
Going hand in hand with quality is emotion. If you, as an entrepreneur, can sell a certain feeling to your customers, whether that’s highlighting why your loft hatches are safer than the competition’s (they’re fireproof) or it’s by creating a relationship with your customers whereby they trust what you say, like you and believe that you will do the best for them, if you can make them feel the relevant emotion to the thing you’re trying to sell, your task will become a lot easier. So, focus on care for your customer and how you can create feeling in every step of the process, and you will get more yes’ than no’s.
Focus on the Right People
Of course, the real key to making sales is not wasting your time on people who will never buy and getting a feel for those who will. This has never been easier in the age of big data, so be sure to do your research, find your target market and focus your selling skills on the ones who may actually be interested.
Now you know the secrets to making sales, it’s time to start selling!
