Taking Tips From Google

February 5, 2018

Google are absolutely smashing it when it comes to running a business. They’re the giants of the tech world, the web, and just pretty much everything. If it wasn’t for Google, we wouldn’t have come as far as we have today in terms of technology and internet browsing. But it isn’t just the technology side of things that they know how to do well. Actually running a business is something they’ve got nailed down to a T. People are always searching for a job at Google, and the people working for them are always bragging about how good it is, and for good reason. They treat their employees amazingly, and their approach to running a business in unparalleled. We’re here to explore what tips you can take from Google.
Their Offices
Their offices are one of the things that really attracts people to work for Google. They’re fun, clean, laid back, and just all round quirky. One thing people love, and outsiders have always found amazing, is the slides that the headquarters have installed. Getting up and down the different floors has never been so fun. To some of you it might sound childish. But sometimes you need a bit of childish in a business to make it fun. It helps to break up the day, and helps to uplift moods. Their cleanliness is something else that attracts people. Apple are a really green company, and their offices are always immaculate. Whilst installing a slide might be something you can’t do, keeping the office clean is. A contract office cleaning service is all you need to change it from a dingy looking place to a fresh one. Another thing Google do well is giving their employees chance to be creative. They have boards lining a lot of the walls where different ideas can be shared. It might be handy for your employees to share their views on what they think can make your business a better place.
Their Employee Benefits
One thing Google do know how to do right is how to treat their employees. It is one of the main reasons why hardly anyone ever wants to leave. When they’re in the office, Google headquarters has a napping station where the employees can to go… well… nap. They believe taking nap breaks fuels the mind. Whilst we know this isn’t something that is going to appeal to you all, we do think you can take something away from this. If they’re stuck in front of a computer all day, their brains are eventually going to go dead. There’s only so much you can stare at the screen for without losing focus. So you could bring in periodic breaks in the day to help bring back their concentration.
Their Work Ethic
Their work ethic has always been extremely strong. Whilst they, and their employees, do get amazing benefits such as pay and generous holiday allowances, whilst in work they are extremely hard working. You need to be strong minded and willing to put in hours with running a business.
