Why More Cybercrime Experts Are Needed

January 27, 2020

There are some pretty worrying stats out there about the future of the job market. According to some experts, somewhere in the region of 40% of jobs could be lost automation and AI in the next couple of decades. As such, when it comes to figuring out what you’re going to do with your life, it’s worthwhile looking at whether there’ll be a need for the job you’re considering in the future.

But the question is: how do you do this? One smart way is to look at the things that are going to be a problem in the future, and the positions that’ll help to remedy those problems. While there’s much to love about living in the modern world, there’s no denying that there are some problems that will have to be combated.

In the technological field, we’re seeing a lot of positives, but also plenty of negative aspects. One such example is cybercrime, which has been steadily on the rise in recent years. And while we tend to think of cybercrime as something that is plotted against businesses and consumers, the real threat comes from nations committing cyber espionage against other nations. This can lead to increased tensions between states, which can have a ripple effect that could lead to great danger.

For these reasons and more, cybersecurity experts are going to be in great demand in the coming decades. You can learn more about this by checking out the infographic below, which was produced by Norwich University.
