Why You Should Be Showcasing Your Work

July 31, 2019

No matter what business you’re in, people need to be able to see what it is that you do for them to be able to decide if they want your product or service too. There is no point keeping your business a secret; you need to show it to the world, show them what you’re made of, and then expand your business so everyone can benefit from it.

Use Your Website

This is the first place you need to be telling people about yourself and showing people the work you have done. Make sure you add case studies to your website to show projects you have worked on from start to finish – to do this make sure you are documenting your work from start to finish too. Then make sure you ask your customers and clients for testimonials which you can put on your website also, this makes you far more credible as a business.

Make The Most Of Social Media

You should already have Facebook and Twitter for your business, and these are fantastic platforms to show people the work you are doing or have completed. Make sure you share updates that appeal to your audience; it could be a beautiful image of a new product or a snapshot of a positive customer review. Sharing high-quality photos and videos with original captions are a great way to engage with your followers and get you seen more.

Put Yourself Out There

Just like if you were an artist or a photographer, you would need to be attending events or putting on exhibits of your own to get people to see what you have to offer. For any other business, it is the same. Whether it’s an exhibit you attend or put on yourself, an open day or sponsorship opportunities at events, put yourself out there and get seen. Without that, how will anyone know what you can do? Event marketing means you need to be attending exhibits, putting on displays, presentations, or organizing gatherings to showcase your company’s products and services. Put some effort and money into this, so whether you need to get yourself female mannequins, screens to showcase images and videos or gimmicks or merchandise to get noticed, then do it. You need people to know who you are and what you can do.

Get PersonalAccording to the Litmus “Email Client Market Share Trends” for 2017, 72% of customers prefer companies to keep in touch with them via email than any other method, and email is a powerful and personal way to connect with them directly. Using email marketing software like MailChimp is an inexpensive way to stay connected to your subscribers. Even if you only send one email a month, it’s an excellent way to keep your business at the forefront of your readers’ minds and to provide them with engaging updates of your recent work. The key to this as well though is to keep it personal, make sure you use your customer’s names, so they feel they are getting a newsletter just to them – it makes all the difference.
