You Won't Believe The 3 Keys To Ranking Your Business Website Higher In Google!

December 8, 2016

Business websites are an incredibly important tool for many reasons. To make your website as effective as possible, it needs to generate traffic. To do this, it needs to rank highly in search results. Keeping that in mind here’s how you can improve your website ranking.

Produce Excellent Content

I once read an interview with a top digital marketer who has a very popular blog, and he mentioned how important content marketing is. Websites that produce content can gain lots of followers and rank incredibly highly in Google search results. They also end up with visitors that are more engaged than websites with visitors that were generated through link building, etc. There are two things to think about with website content in regards to search rankings. Firstly, it has to be regular, and you must update your content as often as possible. Google recognizes when sites aren’t updating and pushing out new content. Consequently, they tend to lose ranking spots and fall down the pecking order. Secondly, you have to focus on quality. Quality content is also a big factor in getting your site to the number one ranking spot. If you can produce top quality regular content, then your website will improve.

Make It More Search Engine Friendly

Naturally, if you want to make your website perform better in search engines, then you have to make it search engine friendly. There are so many algorithms that are imprinted in Google to help it rank websites in certain orders. You can do things to your website to make it fit these algorithms better, help search engine bots find your pages, and rank your site higher. Essentially, we’re talking about basic SEO principles here. For one, you need to emphasize keywords especially in the URL of your pages. An XML or HTML sitemap is also needed to help bots crawl your site and find all of your web pages. Understandably, a lot of these words might not make any sense to you if you’re not from a marketing background. Don’t worry, there are plenty of SEO white label services out there that can help you with these things. Get professional help and make your website more search engine friendly. Also, don’t forget about mobile searches either! You must optimize your site for mobile results too.

Use Keywords For Every Page

I touched upon keywords when speaking about the point above. However, they’re so important they need a whole section to themselves. What a lot of people forget is that Google sees your website as a load of different pages. Each page needs to have specific keywords and be centered around certain subjects. If you’re only using keywords on your home page, the other pages in your site won’t rank highly. Plus, you need these keywords to be relevant, or your site will look like a jumbled load of rubbish. Try and make each page revolve around a certain topic, for example, have a page on a service your business provides. This enables you to use loads of keywords that relate to one another and boost its ranking.
Take all of this information on board and give your search rankings a considerable boost.
